WDYTYA? Live 2017

Thank you to all those who visited the Deceased Online team at last week's Who Do You Think You Are? Live in Birmingham Jamie and the team stayed busy over the three days of this year's show Jamie and the team from  Deceased Onli ne  are all back home now, resting their feet after a fun few days in   Birmingham's NEC   at  Who Do You Think You Are? Live . As usual, our stand (198) saw a constant flow of visitors keen to find their ancestors in the Deceased Online database . We love meeting database users and would like to thank everyone who dropped by to see us on Thursday 6th, Friday 7th and Saturday 8th April. We had a hectic but happy three days helping countless family historians with their brickwalls. Across the arena, there were loads of great bargains and special offers unique to the show. Twiggy family records on Deceased Online

This week saw the 100th episode of the ever popular BBC television show, Who Do You Think You Are? This special episode featured model and actor Twiggy (Lesley Lawson, nĂ©e Hornby) and her Victorian ancestors' lives of hard times in e ast and n orth London. But did you know that some of Twiggy's family can be found in the Deceased Online database ? Twiggy in the 100th episode of Who Do You Think You Are? (credit: BBC) Twiggy was born in Neasden, north London, in 1949. Although her father was from Lancashire, this episode focused on Twiggy's maternal ancestors who lived in the capital. This had particular resonance for her, as, she said, " I feel, heart and soul, a Londoner, and I’m very proud of it." I had a personal interest in the programme as not only do I live in north London but I have ancestor s from the capital - including Hackney, where Twiggy's great grandmother, Grace Gillies, met her tragic end. WDYTYA? Live 2013

Deceased Online is coming to Who Do You Think You Are? Live! Like many of you, here at Deceased Online (DOL) we are getting ourselves ready for next year’s WDYTYA? Live event at London’s Olympia. From Friday 22 nd to Sunday 24 th February, we will be exhibiting on Stand Number 924 at the world’s biggest family history show. There will be numerous demonstration computers with our friendly team showing visitors how to get the best from DOL and other special features. Huw Edwards visiting the DOL stand at WDYTYA?
